CORA is a non-profit social charitable organisation started in 1995 by Mr.Sylvester Chandra who is the founder secretary to provide charitable services to the orphan children , children in difficult circumstances and in distress and disadvantaged people and to uplift the poorest of the poor. The services that are rendered by CORA are irrespective caste creed religion race and colour.
CORA is a charitable voluntary social service organization started in 1995 and registered under the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act and by Govt. of India under FCR Act and by Income Tax Act. The goal of CORA is prevention of ill health primarily by health care measures and secondarily by socio- economic measures. CORA provides care and support for the children orphaned due to the death of their parents through HIV/AIDS, abandoned by their relatives and neglected by the community. CORA also supports People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) for availing treatment for opportunistic infections and livelihood interventions for bedridden HIV Positive women. Our areas of operation are Tiruvannamalai - a northern district and Tirunelveli – a southern district of Tamilnadu state. CORA also regularly conducts HIV Intervention programs for various target participants in the project area of Tiruvannamalai and Tirunelveli.
